The Parent’s Association would like to thank all of those who volunteered and generously supported or Christmas Fair. Thank you!
The halla was transformed for the night – with music that could have been in the National Concert Hall but with the intimate atmosphere of Vicar Street -thanks to candlelight and no fluorescent strip in sight! Former Burrow School pupil turned international award winning violinist and leader of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, David Tobin began the performance accompanied by his mother, Shree on piano. The audience was treated to further world class musicians playing pieces by Beethoven before a rousing finale by all five musicians resulting in a standing ovation. The aim was to raise funds to buy violins to teach JI, SI and 1st Class. Thanks to the Howth Violin Project, the violins have now been bought for us which is wonderful news!
Last month’s book fair yielded €1,385 in new books for the school which is a magnificent result. Thanks for attending the fair and supporting. Thanks also to Ms Kingston for organising the book fair.
