The 80’s night in the Summit on Saturday November 28th was a great success. It was run jointly between the Burrow, St Fintans and Scoil Mhuire and all proceeds will be divided between the three. Thank you to Lindsay Bond O’Neill for all her work as the Burrow School rep on the organising committee, to Tommy and all the staff at the Summit, to Johanna Harpur and Deerpark Footgolf for donating the prizes for best dressed man and woman and to Hannah Levy for photography on the night.
Have you bits and pieces you no longer need and wish you could free up the space in your house and mind? Now’s your chance – on Friday 28th Nov from 8.35-8.55am, Burrow Hall – please bring any unwanted toys (complete! no missing bits please!), jewellery, unwanted gifts, sports equipment (rackets, sticks etc), books, bric-a-brac etc and we’ll store them ‘til the Christmas Fair. The Christmas Fair is on 6th December.
What a lovely night was had at the Halloween Expo, organised by Yvette Blake, before midterm. We raised €340 towards funding the activities of the PA which is a great result, for what is first and foremost a social event for families. The children’s art was fantastic and decorated the hall beautifully. Thanks to the teachers for working with the children to come up with so many creative ideas. Thanks also to our sponsors – The Winehouse, Supervalu and Opening Minds.

Huge thanks to Rachel McDonnell for a very informative and interactive CPR training session on May 20th.
Thank you to all students and parents who baked and supported our very successful cake sale on May 9th.
We were delighted that the parents, through the PA, funded skipping workshops for all classes during Active week. The weather was magnificent and a great day was had by all.
A great night was had at the table quiz in February. It went right to the wire with the top 2 teams tying after all the 10 rounds of questions. €1,190 was raised which will go towards replacing a classroom white. Thanks to everyone who supported the event and to our generous sponsors who greatly contributed to the success of the night.
What a treat for all parents on Friday March 14th, when the children put on a wonderful show singing Irish songs and playing perfect tunes on the tin whistle. Thanks to Ms Lynn and everyone involved in organising it. Thanks also Michael Howard for the brilliant music. A lovely finish to Seachtain na Gaeilige.
